The Botellón format of Vía Romana Añada Mencía, with a capacity of 5L, enhances the qualities of this prestigious Galician red wine, allowing for a slower and more harmonious evolution in the bottle, thanks to the larger volume of wine and reduced exposure to oxygen.
The care and know-how of a family tradition make it an essential reference of Ribeira Sacra. This wine captures the essence of the land where it grows. Manual harvesting ensures maximum care in the collection, followed by destemming and gravity loading into fermentation tanks.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 24 and 26 ºC, where it remains for a minimum of one year. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation is carried out to soften the acidity, and the wine is clarified using pea protein, guaranteeing a 100% plant-based process.
Before its release to the market, this Magnum format rests in the bottle, without haste, to achieve a wine crafted with care from the vineyard to its presentation. Since 2015, the use of vegetable fining agents has allowed Vía Romana Mencía Añada to be certified as a vegan wine: the first in Galicia.
