High-quality Mencía wine from the oldest vines with a 6-month bottle aging period. VR comes from our oldest vineyards with yields around 1kg of fruit per vine, ensuring one of our main goals: the highest quality. This wine aims to demonstrate the latent potential of Ribeira Sacra, so that when you drink it, you can enjoy our passion and enthusiasm for doing things right. It remains between 7 and 11 months, depending on the vintage, in French oak barrels and another 6 months in bottle before being released to the market.
Tasting notes
Sight
Intense cherry red color with rosy edges that denote a noble aging in oak barrels. Clean and bright.
Nose
Notes of red fruits, balsamic, well-integrated oak providing subtle spicy notes.
Palate
Good structure, good body, good persistence leaving hints of red fruit and spices.
