Mil Ríos Godello is made from hand-harvested grapes from vineyards with an average age of 20 years, at an altitude of 630 m, slopes of up to 38%, and predominantly clay-iron and slate soils. This diversity of terroirs gives this wine complexity, structure, and balance. The free-run must is kept at very low temperatures for 4 to 6 days with continuous bâtonnage, enriching its organoleptic properties. Aging on lees in stainless steel tanks with weekly stirring takes place for 3 months. Subsequent bottle aging completes the production of this age-worthy wine, which is round, full of nuances, and elegant, emphasizing the characteristics of the Godello grape.
Tasting notes
Sight
Clean and bright, it presents an attractive pale yellow color with golden highlights.
Nose
Intense, honest and complex. The variety and terroir are faithfully reflected in the notes of ripe white fruit and balsamic nuances. The aging brings elegant touches of sweet citrus and candied fruits, which give complexity and elegance to the wine.
Palate
On the palate it is fresh, balanced, glyceric and tasty, with elegant varietal and aging aromas reappearing, and a pleasant, long and persistent aftertaste.
